September 11, 2001 – Do you remember where you were that day?
Most of us remember clearly where we were as we watched in helpless horror at the events that transpired that day. More than 3,000 innocent souls lost their lives that horrible day, and many more would pay the ultimate price as they fought to uncover the lost in the rubble.
Today we remember and honor those who lost their lives and loved ones in the attacks targeting the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and Flight 93. We give thanks to the brave first responders; their heroism and sacrifice will never be forgotten. As tribute, we reaffirm our commitment to the values of freedom, democracy, and tolerance for all people groups.
Today let us take a moment of silence and offer our thoughts and prayers to the families who lost so much on that terrible day. You are not alone and we stand by you. You are not forgotten.
